What can
we do in Airlie Beach?
Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsundays
and The Great Barrier Reef, and as such,
we have many options for sailing and
diving adventures. There are various
other land activities as well either
here in Airlie or on one of the local
island resorts. |
How do
I get to there?
Airlie Beach is easily accessible by
coach, plane, train and even by water.
Flights arrive into Proserpine and Hamilton
Island with daily Qantas and Virgin
Blue (Proserpine). Transfers from these
airports are well serviced with either

Our office is located right in the heart
of Airlie Beach. As you arrive down
the hill into the main street, we are
the large information center on the
left hand side, right next door to the
Hogs Breath Café. You can also
find lots of information right here
on our website, or feel free to give
us a ring on our free call number 1800
677 119 or send an email to one of our
local consultants. |
What
is airliebeach.com?
We are a long established locally owned
and operated travel and internet center.
We have specialists of the highest qualifications
in all fields that we operate in, from
sailing and diving to island and mainland
accommodation, plus plane, coach and

Which
islands can you book for?
All of them! We get the best local rates
on all the island retreats and resorts
in the Whitsundays. Hamilton Island
Resort, South Molle Island, Daydream
Island, Club Crocodile or Peppers Palm
Bay Resort on Long Island, Club Med
on Lindeman and of course the prestigious
Hayman Isalnd Resort. |
Who
goes to the islands?
Families, couples and singles. All the
islands offer a range of accommodation
suitable for most walks of life. |
What
can we do on the islands?
On all islands there is a range of watersports,
dining and leisure activities and day
cruises available. If there is a particular
activity you enjoy ask which would be
the best island for you. |
How
do I get to the islands?
The most common transport to most of
the islands is via launch from Shute
Harbour. Shute Harbour is located about
10km out of Airlie Beach. There is a
very frequent local bus service operated
from Airlie to Shute Harbour by Whitsunday
Transit. Alternatively, whitsunday.com
can organise very reasonably priced
scenic flights from Airlie Beach to
your chosen island. If youre flying
into Hamilton Island Airport, you can
access most other islands by ferry. |

 |
|
Do
you need to book in advance?
While there are many accommodation places
in Airlie Beach, we strongly suggest
you do book your accommodation in advance.
Especially if traveling during school
holidays or long weekends. |
Are
there ever discounted rates on accommodation
in Airlie Beach?
Yes, many of the hotels and resorts
do have standby rates, usually within
72 hours of arrival. As we are located
in Airlie Beach we are always well aware
of specials that may be available and
can often make suggestions to our clients
accordingly. Also, we can often organise
discounts for group bookings or extended
stays. |
Is
the accommodation centrally located
or will I require a vehicle to get into
Airlie Beach?
There are many accommodation options
located very centrally to Airlie Beach.
However, we can often get slightly cheaper
rates in skirting areas so you may want
to enquire about those if you do have
a car. |
What
type of accommodation is there in Airlie
Beach?
As Airlie Beach has such a diverse range
of visitors it has come to have an equally
varied range of accommodation options.
There is an abundance of hostels, 3,
4 and 5 star hotels, motels, self contained
apartments and resorts. We can cater
to almost any accommodation budget and
requirement. Being the local Whitsundays
Central Reservations Centre, we have
a good knowledge of the accommodation
options in Airlie. |

You will be able to stop at secluded
beaches, snorkell destinations or island

snorkelling equipment, linen, CD player,
