Some Reviews on Peppers Palm Bay
"At the other end of Long Island, five minutes
away by launch, is the remote luxury of Peppers Palm
Bay, the place Robinson Cruise could only dream about
.
Here, even at peak times, there is a maximum of 42 guests,
with a guest staff ratio two-to-one. The food is five-star,
the place about as slow as it comes, the cocktails mind-blowing,
and the rainbows shining across the mountains rather
than in the sky are enough to make you believe in God
"
Sunday Mail
"Peppers Palm Bay is the only boutique retreat
in the Withsundays, a holiday mecca better known for
its large resorts, many of them with hundreds of rooms.
Wandering around its 21 stylishly furnished bures and
bungalows scattered along the waterfront, you get the
feeling of being in a small village. Each has its own
balcony slung with an inviting hammock for the afternoon
island ritual of absorbing the setting sun-along with
an equally colourful beverage, over the retreats
private lagoon a few metres from your doorstep. The
trick to settling into island life is not to hurry
.".
Sunday Telegraph 1/6/2003
"This tranquil getaway has 21 bures, cabins and
bungalows scattered along a palm-fringed beach. You'll
find no televisions here to disturb the serenity, just
the twittering of birds and occasional thump of wallabies
as they hop through the resorts tropical gardens"
