Apollo is an 81ft Maxi yacht and has competed in all the Ocean
classics in Australia, winning most of them, including the Sydney
to Hobart. Apollo offers guests
a 3-day/2-night Maxi adventure, carrying up to 23 passengers.
Departing every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, Apollo is perfect for 18-35’s who are after the thrill of Maxi action but are on a tight schedule. Apollo was built for speed and power adding to the thrill of Maxi sailing. Refurbished from her life as a racing yacht, Apollo now has room for up to 23 passengers in share-bunk style accommodation in an open plan layout. Perhaps a game of ping-pong on the galley table is on the cards? Below deck is quite spacious with several toilets, and showers. Due to the size of this awesome machine, there is plenty of deck space for those who wish to find a spot to sit and read a book. There is also plenty of opportunity to participate in the sailing of the craft by hoisting the sails, taking the helm or helping with the winches. All meals are included and prepared onboard by your host, as is your snorkelling gear and tuition, linen and bath towels. There is also a courtesy pick up from your accommodation. Lots to do and see on an Apollo trip. Due to her speed much of the Whitsundays will be discovered in this short, fun-filled Maxi adventure.
