Hammer
Hammer is a 75ft Maxi yacht that is indeed a true Australian
yachting legend. Hammer was designed by Kel Steinman and owned
and campaigned by Arthur Bloore. Throughout her racing career
Hammer competed in many blue water events and was best known
for her five consecutive placings in the world famous Sydney
to Hobart, including line honours in the 50th Anniversary of
the event. Hammer’s paint job certainly makes her the “wild
child” of the Maxi fleet.
Departing on every even day of the month and taking up to 22 passengers,
Hammer will take you for a 2-day/1-night Maxi adventure.
Aboard Hammer’s Maxi sailing adventure, passengers have the
opportunity to take the helm, hoist the sails and grind the
winches or just sit back and relax on the ample deck space.
This boat was originally designed to combine sheer size and
power with the thrill of speed, making it a racing machine.
Below deck, accommodation is in an open plan layout with single
berths and double beds available. There is a large galley and
several toilets and showers onboard as well.
Your trip aboard Hammer includes 3 freshly prepared meals per
day, all snorkelling equipment and tuition, linen, transfers
from your accommodation to the harbour, live-aboard accommodation
and four highly trained and knowledgeable crew members to keep
you entertained and informed.
Hammer will take you to all the best destinations on offer in
the Whitsundays, including the famous Whitehaven Beach. Hammer
will often rendezvous with a dive connection to give both certified
divers and first timers a chance to experience the world below.
