Built in Scotland in 1928, “Ron of Argyll” is a 60ft classic
gaff rigged ketch Following a long and colourful history sailing
the world, she is now cruising gracefully though the azure waters
of the Whitsunday Islands.
Purchased by her current owner in 1990, “Ron of Argyll” has
had countless hours of restoration work carried out and has
been fitted with state of the art electronics and modern safety
equipment.
“Ron of Argyll” carries up to 12 passengers on a 2-day 2-night
yesteryear adventure Departing every Thursday, Saturday and
Monday.
As a pampered guest aboard “Ron of Argyll”, passengers will
find the meals onboard exceptional in both quality and quantity.
Vegetarians and other special dietary requirements are also
catered for.
Between meals our professional crew will take care of all the
sailing and seamanship duties, however if you wish, you are
welcome to take the helm, help raise and trim the sails and
generally discover the life of a cruising sailor.
 
Below deck, guests can choose to sleep in either a single berth
or a double berth. Extremely spacious both above and below deck,
this ship reflects the beauty and romanticism of her yachting
era.
“Ron of Argyll” will take its guests on a fantastic 2-day 2night
adventure through the Whitsunday Islands, stopping off at all
the best scenic and snorkelling destinations including the famous
Whitehaven Beach.
